University Mental Health Day is an international campaign run around the world that is striving to focus all efforts on promoting the mental health of individuals who live, work, and study in higher education. This year, University Mental Health Day will be on March 1st and will be aiming to build a community filled with mental health awareness and understanding. This program will ultimately empower each and every member of the community to participate in an effort to improve student mental health on campus.

The focus of this movement is to develop and educate and positive mental health community at a university or college setting. By raising awareness of the many challenges that university staff and students deal with, more campuses across the world will address the ongoing problem of depression. The organizers bring in a network of mental health professionals and a student perspective in an effort to increase mental awareness in the higher education community.
